The exhibition moves onward to the FUSION (Ontario Clay and Glass) Conference, 28 to 30 May, at Carleton University, Ottawa. It is called "The Female Principle". I created these clay sculptures and wall pieces to reflect some of our many ideas about what is one part of our Yin/Yang in life. Sometimes we see qualities of Earth Mother or protector in the animal and even the vegetable world. Or we may see special qualities - such as in "Black Magic Woman", a tribute to that woman loved by Santana. We worship the female from afar - see "Pleiades - Seven Sisters" or sometimes acknowledge her gifts - as in the Three Sisters - Corn, Beans and Squash".<br /><br />The vernissage (opening) is on Sunday, May 30, from 1-3 p.m. Three separate exhibitions will be opening simultaneously, with live music, munchies and a cash bar.
